In-school tour and virtual program options
NOTE TO CINDERELLA’S STEPSISTERS: THE REWARDS FOR BEING GOOD CAN BE GREAT!
Opera for the Young’s adaptation of Cinderella will bring this classic fairy tale alive for children. Vivid characterizations for both professional and elementary school cast members draw young audiences into the story’s universal themes: one has the power to transform one’s life through inner strength and the rewards for being a good person can be great!
Children from your school will play the chorus of mice, horses and aristocrats, and student actors will be the King and Queen. We are reserving the roles of Cinderella’s two goofy stepsisters for your most outgoing faculty members or even local celebrities.
Each OFTY performance provides a one-of-a-kind interactive event where your students have the opportunity to perform alongside our accomplished opera professionals. For those unable to welcome guests back due to coronavirus restrictions, a virtual program option for Cinderella is also available starting January 2022. Entertaining and unforgettable, Cinderella will awe and inspire your students for years to come.
